Cumberland Community Band

An all-ages band performing a diverse portfolio of music for our community

The Cumberland Community Band started in 2016 after local musical talent Mike Perfetti asked parents of MSAD 51 band members to dust off their instruments and play with the kids at their spring final district-wide concert.  The parents had a blast, and Mike proposed a community band to start in the fall. Word spread well beyond parents and beyond the town, and the band has now grown to more than 50 members.  We have players of all ages and backgrounds. Many of our adult members hadn't played an instrument for 30+ years before joining the band.  What unites us is our love of playing music with others and performing for our community.
